2019 Home Run set for November 9

Registration is now open for the Seventh Annual LCCH Home Run 5K, which will be held November 9, 2019 at Rotary Park in Newark.  Again this year, the race will feature chip timing, with immediate results and photos posted as soon as the racers finish. Prizes will be awarded for the first male and female finisher overall, and medals will be awarded for the first three male and female finishers in each age group.  New for 2019 is a 1 Mile Fun Run. All participants in the Fun Run will receive a participation medal.

As always, the run/walk is a family-friendly, awareness event which includes a DJ, a race shirt, and LOTS of door prize drawings for the participants as well as a free lunch for everyone in attendance (participants and spectators!). The cost for the 5K is $30 for early entries (received by November 3) and $35 for late entries (received after November 3).  The Fun Run is $25 early-entry and $30 late-entry. Groups of 6 or more for either race will receive a $5 discount per person.  

Packet pick-up will be Friday afternoon at the Canal Market District-Gilbert Reese Pavilion from 3:00-6:00 PM, and also the morning of the race.  Race day registration/check-in will begin at 10:00 AM, with the 5K starting at 11:00 and the Fun Run at 11:10.

All proceeds benefit the homeless/housing assistance programs of LCCH.  Sponsorship opportunities are still available for businesses who wish to support the event.  If you are interested in sponsoring a specific item (lunch, medals, timing), or would like to make a prize or cash contribution, please email Kathy Scott at kscott@lcchousing.org.  Questions about the race may also be sent to that e-mail address.   We hope to see you on November 9th!
