Homeless Prevention (HP) provides short-term financial assistance to households that are at imminent risk of homelessness. The goal of HP is to prevent households from becoming homeless. Assistance for this program is extremely limited.

Rapid Re-Housing (RRH) provides short-term rental assistance and supportive services to individuals and families experiencing homelessness. The goal of RRH is to help households find housing and increase self-sufficiency to maintain housing.

A temporary program that is meant to bridge the gap from homelessness to permanent housing by providing housing and offering structure, supervision, support (addiction, mental health, etc.), life skills, education, and training.

Permanent Supportive Housing (PSH) provides long-term rental assistance and supportive services to individuals or families, where at least one member has a disability and is experiencing chronic* homelessness. The goal of PSH is to assist households with long-term support to ensure rent is affordable to increase housing stability and improve health.

*Chronic homelessness is defined as living in a place not meant for human habitation, a safe haven, or in an emergency shelter for 12 consecutive months, or on at least 4 separate occasions in the last 3 years for at least 12 months.

SSVF includes a wide range of services for veterans and their families, including Homelessness Prevention, Rapid Re-Housing, Shallow Subsidy, Healthcare Navigation, Income Support, Legal Services, and Case Management.

HOPWA provides short- and long-term rental assistance to households with an individual living with HIV/AIDS. The goal of HOPWA is to ensure individuals are able to maintain their housing to focus on their health. LCCH works with the City of Columbus Department of Development to provide the HOPWA program.

LCCH began providing re-entry housing services through Returning Home Ohio (RHO) in 2015. Funded by the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH) and the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Correction, RHO is a program that is aimed at preventing homelessness and reducing recidivism for those who have been released from Ohio prisons with a severe and persistent mental health diagnosis.

The Community Transition Program (CTP) program is a temporary or longer-term program based on the SPDAT assessment which assesses your risk of homelessness. This program is specifically designed to meet the housing and services needs of individuals who have been diagnosed with substance use disorders and took specific classes while in the Ohio Department of Rehabilitation and Corrections (ODRC). This program will collaborate with individuals who have been referred by ODRC and have been released within 120 days, towards finding housing and will provide case management to help tenants find the services that enable them to live as independently as possible. This program is a grant funded by OhioMHAS and the Corporation for Supportive Housing (CSH).

Project Homeline coordinators return all calls from people inquiring about housing and housing assistance. Project Homeline receives its funding through the Granville Community Foundation, Licking County Foundation, Gummer Family, proceeds from the Great Granville Garage Sale, and other generous donors.

VITA is an IRS initiative designed to support free tax preparation service for the underserved through various partner organizations. This service helps low- to moderate-income individuals, persons with disabilities and the elderly.

Through a unique partnership with the Licking County Board of Developmental Disabilities (LCBDD), LCCH owns homes and provides Property Management services for adults with developmental disabilities.

In partnership with The Center for New Beginnings Shelter and Services, a program of The Woodlands of Central Ohio, and Licking County Job and Family Services, LCCH will offer 6 units of transitional housing, 12 units of rapid rehousing and critical case management to those who are fleeing domestic violence in the six Homeless Planning Region 9 counties.

Stanley Frankart, Housing Services Supervisor for the RHO and CTP programs was named to the FY23 Cohort of BJA Fellows, one of only 8 nationally. His 24-month Fellowship will include a “residency” period of 9 months working with BJA staff onsite in Washington, D.C. While Mr. Frankart will continue to oversee the RHO and CTP programs, he will have an opportunity to make critical policy and programmatic contributions to improving Corrections and Reintegration under the Second Chance Act. He will collaborate with BJA and Department of Justice (DOJ) staff members to provide outreach, data, research and subject matter expertise at the federal level which will, in turn, enhance and improve our work here in Ohio.

5 units of Transitional Housing funded by the VA’s Homeless Veteran Grant and Per Diem (GPD), which is specifically for Veterans in need of Transitional Housing.

The Region 9 Youth Homelessness Demonstration Project (YHDP) is a joint Transitional Housing/Rapid Rehousing (TH/RR) program that focuses on helping young people experiencing homelessness find, obtain and maintain stable housing, further their education, and gain or maintain employment. There will be 5 units of TH and 10 units of RR.

Young Adults 18 to 24 years old, including pregnant and parenting youth, who meet Category 1,2 OR 4 of homelessness in HUD’s Final Definition of Homeless are eligible.
