Client Needs Assessment Surveys: Summer, 1997 - N=7


The average income of those who participated in a needs assessment housing survey (from the group of clients served by the Coalition this summer) was $11,093.

The average household/family size was 3~57, with 2.57 average number of children, indicating many single heads-of-households. The average age was 31,

and five out of seven responders were on welfare or 551 support for some of the household income.

The top five needs for the small sub-sample of clients sample from the Licking County Coalition for Housing were:
  1. Expansion of programs that deal with abused or neglected children
  2. Development of more effective pregnancy prevention programs
  3. More opportunities for job training/employment assistance
  4. Access to affordable medical care for family members
  5. Affordable child care
